Pocomoke River State Park

4/5 stars

We are just finishing a brief stay at Pocomoke River State Park. We stopped here on our way to the Delaware beaches.

First impression is that it is a nice park. The sites are large and hard packed dirt. I have plenty of room for my 40' motorhome among the trees of the Shad Landing campground. We did get our bikes out and rode around the many loops.

We stayed in a 40' motorhome.

Large sites spaced out nicely
Great for family bike rides
Great access to the river with marine (parking spaces for trailers, boat ramp, boat dock with slips, boat rentals, lots of kayaks)

The trash dumpsters are at the entrance/exit (minor inconvenience)
Only 30-amp service (standard for a state park)
Bath house on my loop being renovated so they have port-o-johns (glad to see upgrades in process though)
Very weak digital TV (that may be a PRO for some)
