Rocky Gap State Park

We swung through the campground on our way home on I-68. There are nine loops. Only loop A has electric service. The rest are all dry camp sites. Each loop does have a restroom facility. It was a really nice place nestled in the mountains of western Maryland. The rates for the non-electric sites seems high ($26) compared to electric sites ($32). Out of state residents have a add $1 to the prices. :(

Obviously the electric loop (A) was totally booked solid. The other loops were pretty full. The temperatures in the mountains were very comfortable for dry camping would certainly be do-able. The sites all had lots of shade.

The park has a nice lake, several boat ramps, and a beach for swimming.
