5/5 Stars

We just concluded our stay at the Lums Pond State Park last week. They have done a ton of work to it in 2016-2017. All of the spots are now full hook-ups including 50 amp service. The park is just outside of Newark, Delaware.

Many people use the park to kayak in Lums Pond.

There are horse facilities in the park if you want to ride your horse on the marked trails.

Good access to I-95 although it would not likely be a stop-over point. Avoid coming and going during rush hour. The locals ZOOM to work in a mad frenzy.

Most of the spots (80%) are pretty level. All are asphalt. Some are double wide.

This is a great place to get away but also be close to lots of shopping. Relax or head to Christiana Mall.

We stayed in a 40' motorhome.

PROS
Lots of space in between campsites
Large open grass area in the middle of the main loop for all sort of activities
Reasonably close to Newark and Bear for all of the shopping you could ask for!
Shower/Bath house recently updated

CONS
The sewer connections are closer to the front of the spaces so bring your 20' sewer hose
